Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED is required.
• Six months of direct patient care in a psychiatric setting or equivalent coursework.
• NCI-APS certification must be obtained within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a therapeutic milieu and a safe environment for all unit patients.
• Engage in population-appropriate communication with patients and families.
• Assist with routine nursing duties under RN direction to ensure quality care.
• Lead or co-lead treatment groups and organize therapeutic activities.
• Monitor safety, manage patient behavior, and respond to crises as needed.
• Transport patients to X-ray, EEG, MRI, or clinic appointments.
