The County of El Dorado is seeking a Psychiatric Technician I/II in Placerville, CA. You will assist with medication management, support interdisciplinary treatment teams, and help orient clients to county behavioral health services after discharge from psychiatric facilities.

The ideal candidate is licensed and experienced with psychiatric medications, with a focus on education for clients, families, and staff.

Competenze

• Licensed Psychiatric Technician or LVN/PT with CA licensure at time of appointment.
• One year of professional medication management duties for PT I.
• Two years of medication program support for behavioral health clients for PT II.

Mansioni

• Collect, organize, and deliver medications to clients and educate on proper use and side effects.
• Conduct medication checks and monitor for dosage efficacy, signs of misuse, and vital signs as needed.
• Work as part of an inter-professional team to report changes and optimize treatment plans.
• Provide crisis intervention for walk-in clients and coordinate appropriate care services.
• Advocate for clients and accompany them to medical appointments as needed.
