The State of New Hampshire, Department of Health and Human Services, and New Hampshire Hospital has a Full-Time Vacancy for a Psychiatric Social Worker.
Provides clinical social work services in an acute inpatient psychiatric setting. Delivers therapeutic interventions to patients, families, guardians, and significant others, including individual and group psychotherapy, psychoeducation, support services, advocacy, and discharge planning. Applies strong clinical social work skills, including diagnostic assessment, treatment planning, and therapeutic intervention, as well as comprehensive knowledge of psychiatric disorders, crisis management, and the community-based mental health system in New Hampshire.
Each additional year of approved formal education may be substituted for one year of required work experience and/or each additional year of approved work experience may be substituted for one year of required formal education.
Education/Experience: Bachelor's degree and 1.5 years of experience OR equivalent combination of 5.5 years of education and experience after completion of high school. Education and experience must include at least 30 credits of graduate-level study in social work with 450+ field hours of clinical experience.
License/Certification: Valid driver’s license
