Job summary

ViaQuest Psychiatric & Behavioral Solutions is seeking a registered nurse to support clients with psychiatric and behavioral health needs across the Johnstown and Sunbury areas. The role involves direct care, medication administration, health screenings, and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team.

The ideal candidate will have RN licensure, graduate from an accredited nursing program, and experience in behavioral health. Willingness to travel within the assigned service area is essential.

Qualifications

• RN license is required.
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Experience in psychiatric, mental and behavioral health services.

Responsibilities

• Address the behavioral and physical health needs of clients receiving treatment for psychiatric symptoms.
• Perform health care screenings and check vital signs.
• Administer injections and other medications as needed.
• Monitor and administer medication.
• Educate clients on pharmaceuticals.
• Gather client information and history from the Nurse Practitioner.
• Case management duties including coordination of community services.
• Assist clients in building skills including emotion, stress and anger management, communication and interpersonal relationships.
