Our mission at the Vermont Psychiatric Care Hospital (VPCH) is to improve the health and well-being of Vermont's most vulnerable populations. Temporary work is typically for variable hours, and is not expected to be full-time. The State does not guarantee 40 hours of work per week.

Duties primarily performed in a clinical setting. Work may require travel off-site. Exposure to communicable diseases, blood borne pathogens, potentially physically and verbally violent patient population and other stressful situations may occur. Minimum Qualifications

Possession of (or eligible for) licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) in Vermont OR eligible to practice in the state of Vermont via a multi-state license AND two (2) years or more of professional nursing experience in the nursing specialty.

NOTE: Must maintain Vermont licensure as a Registered Nurse OR eligible to practice in the state of Vermont via a multi-state license as a condition of employment.

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).

Special Requirements

Overtime work is required to maintain minimum staffing levels and for unannounced regulatory inspections and is considered a condition of employment. The ability to work overtime when required is an essential function of this job class.
