Job summary

Lakeside Behavioral Health System in Memphis, TN is seeking a Registered Nurse to join a team-focused psychiatric care unit. The RN will provide professional nursing care, coordinate care with the multidisciplinary team, and may assume Charge Nurse responsibilities as needed.

Education: BSN preferred; Licensure: TN RN; Experience: 1 year psychiatric nursing preferred; Knowledge includes crisis management and CPR.

Qualifications

• Education: Graduate of an accredited nursing program. BSN preferred.
• Experience: One-year prior psychiatric experience in mental health nursing preferred.
• Licensure/Certification: Licensure and registration by the Tennessee Board of Nurse Examiners as a registered nurse.
• Knowledge: Must possess knowledge of general and psychiatric nursing processes, therapeutic relationships and processes, age specific growth and development, limit setting, crisis and behavior management and CPR training.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional nursing care on a designated unit consistent with Lakeside Behavioral Health System and ANA standards.
• Coordinate and delegate nursing care utilizing the nursing process with the multidisciplinary treatment team.
• Promote and enhance professional nursing practice on the unit; may assume Charge Nurse responsibilities as required.
• UHS is the parent organization for Lakeside and supports a broad network of behavioral health services.
