Job summary

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience as RN in acute adult outpatient or inpatient psychiatric unit.
• Current California Nursing license.
• AVADE within 90 days of hire.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS).

Responsibilities

• Provides nursing care to the mental health client.
• Evaluates for suicidal or homicidal tendencies.
• Oversees direct patient care and performs assessments.
• Implements treatment and discharge planning.
• Demonstrates the nursing process as a problem-solving model.
• Communicates using SBAR in hand-off situations.
• Maintains a safe and clean environment.
