Kotel ATX PLLC is seeking an experienced RN for psychiatric care in Plano, TX. You will assess patients, develop care plans with the team, administer meds, and respond to crises.

Work Monday–Friday with occasional Saturday coverage, on-site at our Plano clinic. A TX RN license and 1–2 years in mental health are preferred; strong communication and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• Active TX RN license required.
• 1–2 years in psychiatric/mental health nursing preferred.
• BLS and ACLS certifications as required.
• Knowledge of psychiatric medications and crisis management.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work well in a team.

• Primarily Monday–Friday, with open availability for occasional Saturday coverage as needed.

• Administer medications and monitor for side effects, ensuring patient safety.
• Provide crisis intervention and manage acute psychiatric episodes effectively.
• Educate patients and families about mental health conditions, treatments, and wellness strategies.
• Document patient progress, interventions, and outcomes accurately in the medical record.
• Collaborate with psychiatrists, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to optimize patient care.
• Maintain a safe and therapeutic environment for patients and staff.

Qualifications:

• Current and unrestricted RN license in TX.
• Minimum of [1-2] years of experience in psychiatric or mental health nursing preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications (as required).
• Strong knowledge of psychiatric medications, behavioral health assessments, and crisis management.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
