Job summary

Amergis Healthcare Staffing seeks a Psychiatric Registered Nurse (RN) in Tallahassee, FL for a contract–full time position. The PMH RN will handle assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of mental health and substance use disorders across diverse care settings.

Requirements include active RN licensure in Florida, 1 year of psychiatric experience preferred, and current CPR. PMH-BC certification is a plus; other regulatory requirements apply.

Qualifications

• TB questionnaire, PPD or chest X-ray if applicable

The Psychiatric/Mental Health Registered Nurse, requires a wide range of nursing, psychosocial, and neurobiological expertise. PMH nurses promote well-being through prevention and education, in addition to the assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of mental health and substance use disorders. The Psychiatric/Mental Health Registered Nurse, demonstrates ability to make clinical judgments in an effective and efficient manner and demonstrates critical thinking and performance ability in the coordination of patient care. The Psychiatric/Mental Health Registered Nurse, works in a variety of settings and provides comprehensive care to individuals, families, and communities when applicable.

Minimum Requirements:

• Current Registered Nurse Licensure in-state practicing




• One year of psych experience preferred




• PMH-BC certification preferred




• Complies with all relevant professional standards of practice




• Current CPR if applicable




• TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable
