Job summary

Amergis Healthcare Staffing seeks a Psychiatric Registered Nurse (RN) for per diem assignment in Arlington, TN. The PMH RN will apply a wide range of nursing and psychosocial skills to assess, educate, and treat mental health and substance use disorders, coordinating care with the team to promote patient well-being.

The role requires current RN licensure in-state, with one year of psych experience preferred and PMH-BC certification preferred.

Qualifications

• Current RN licensure in-state practicing.
• One year of psych experience preferred.
• PMH-BC certification preferred.
• Complies with all relevant professional standards of practice.
• Current CPR if applicable.
• TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable.
• Current Health certificate per contract or state regulation.
• Must meet all federal, state and local requirements.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

• Provide psychiatric/mental health nursing care across settings.
• Assess, diagnose and contribute to treatment planning for mental health and substance use disorders.

The Psychiatric/Mental Health Registered Nurse, requires a wide range of nursing, psychosocial, and neurobiological expertise. PMH nurses promote well-being through prevention and education, in addition to the assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of mental health and substance use disorders. The Psychiatric/Mental Health Registered Nurse, demonstrates ability to make clinical judgments in an effective and efficient manner and demonstrates critical thinking and performance ability in the coordination of patient care. The Psychiatric/Mental Health Registered Nurse, works in a variety of settings and provides comprehensive care to individuals, families, and communities when applicable.

Minimum Requirements:

• Current Registered Nurse Licensure in-state practicing
• One year of psych experience preferred
• PMH-BC certification preferred
• Complies with all relevant professional standards ofpractice
