Job summary

The US Department of Veterans Affairs seeks a Psychiatric Physician Assistant for a full-time outpatient position. This role is eligible for the Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP); PA applicants must meet VA policy and submit their EDRP application within four months of appointment.

Basic PA qualifications and licensure requirements apply as outlined by VA standards. Ideal candidates will have PA certification, state licensure, and a track record in patient assessment and collaborative care

Qualifications

• United States citizenship required; non-citizens only if VA policy allows.
• English language proficiency in speaking and writing.
• PA must have passed PANCE or be in process to take the exam.
• Current full license to practice in the U.S. or D.C.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient history and physical and formulate treatment plans.
• Practice autonomously within PA scope and collaborate with team.
• Participate in telehealth and interdisciplinary patient care.
• Lead care delivery and coordinate across health care system.
