Job summary

Freedom Behavioral Hospital Greenville is seeking a Director of Nursing to supervise nursing staff and oversee all psychiatric nursing services in a regulated environment. You will lead care planning, medication teaching, and milieu management while ensuring compliance with CMS and state standards.

Ideal candidates hold an RN license in Louisiana with an Associate or Bachelor’s in Nursing; MSN oversight is strongly preferred, and experience in psychiatric nursing leadership is essential for

Qualifications

Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing; MSN oversight strongly preferred.
Current RN license in good standing in Louisiana.
Experience leading psychiatric nursing teams and ensuring regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

Oversee psychiatric nursing services and supervise RNs, LPNs, and mental health workers.
Develop, implement and evaluate individualized psychiatric nursing care plans.
Provide leadership, training, and ongoing education for nursing staff.
Maintain compliance with federal, state and local regulations for care and documentation.
Lead and advise the psychiatric nursing team as a key administrative resource.
