Job summary

A healthcare staffing agency is seeking a Psychiatric Nursing Assistant in Austin, Texas. This role involves providing direct care and therapeutic interactions with clients, while monitoring their psychiatric conditions. Candidates must be at least 21 years old, possess a valid Driver's License, and complete necessary training shifts. Qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent and the ability to pass CPR and TIPS certification. Additional screenings will also be required.

• COVID-19 testing with negative result required; urine drug screen and FBI background check may be required.

Job Requirements for all candidates:

• Attends to work on a regular basis
• Must be at least 21 years of age
• Must have a valid Driver's License
• Graduation from a standard senior high School or equivalent
• Must be able to pass CPR and TIPS (Trauma Intervention Protection Strategies)
• Prefer experience in direct client care.
• Basic computer skills

Duties of Direct Care PNA

• Provide direct care of clients (emergency, health and personal care).
• Provide therapeutic interactions with clients.
• Monitor during meals and activities.
• Monitor clients psychiatric symptoms or health state and document in records as needed.
• Document Clients behaviors and interactions.
• Performs other duties as assigned by the Unit Manager and/or Resident Specialist V.

Other:

• COVID-19 testing with negative result required (facility provides)
• Must be able to successfully pass a urine drug screen and background check (Relode provides)
• Must be able to successfully pass an FBI fingerprint background check (facility provides)

Current Open Shifts:

• 6:45am-3:15pm
• 2:45pm-11:15pm
