Qualifications

• Valid NYS licensure as a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner.
• 2 years of experience with children & families preferred.
• Experience in mental health or substance use disorder treatment preferred.
• Ability to work in a team and fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Assess medication needs for psychosis and comorbid conditions.
• Monitor dose changes and side effects for safety and tolerability.
• Provide ongoing diagnostic assessment.
• Provide psycho-education on diagnosis and medications.
• Coordinate with clinical team to ensure quality care.
• Monitor clinical status and treatment response with the team.
• Conduct psychiatric history, illness course, and diagnosis sharing.
• Direct psychopharmacologic treatment and collaborate with team.
• Educate clients and families about illness and treatments.
• Oversee and sign treatment plans and participate in planning.
• Coordinate care with client PMD's and referrals.
