Job summary

Mindify Wellness and Care is seeking PMHNP-BCs to provide psychiatric care onsite at our partner adult day care center in Cape May, NJ, and through telehealth across New Jersey.

We offer established caseloads, flexible scheduling, and a supportive team. Onsite availability in Cape May is required, with telehealth opportunities as needed. Compensation is per visit, with professional collaboration and malpractice coverage.

Qualifications

• Master's or doctoral degree from an accredited PMHNP program.
• Active New Jersey RN license.
• Active New Jersey APN certification.
• Current PMHNP-BC certification.
• Active DEA registration.
• Active New Jersey CDS registration.
• Strong clinical assessment, medication-management, and communication skills.
• Ability to provide onsite care in Cape May and telehealth to NJ patients.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and follow-up medication-management visits.
• Assess, diagnose, and treat psychiatric and behavioral health conditions per DSM-5-TR.
• Prescribe and manage psychiatric medications.
• Develop and maintain individualized treatment plans.
• Monitor patient progress and medication effects.
• Educate patients and families on conditions and treatments.
• Document accurately in the EMR.
• Collaborate with therapists, social workers, and team members.
• Conduct risk assessments and address patient concerns.

Mindify Wellness and Care is seeking compassionate and dedicated Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioners (PMHNP-BCs) to provide psychiatric care onsite at our partner adult day care center in Cape May, New Jersey, and through telehealth.

We are looking for providers who want to make a meaningful impact while benefiting from an established patient caseload, flexible scheduling, and a supportive clinical and administrative team.

Onsite availability in Cape May is required. Providers will also have opportunities to deliver telehealth services to patients throughout New Jersey.

Schedule

Our partner adult day care center generally operates Monday through Friday, with typical hours of 9:00 a.m.–1:00 p.m. or 9:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m.

• Onsite coverage generally needed 1–3 days per week

• Specific days and hours discussed based on provider availability and center needs

• Telehealth appointments may be scheduled on the same days as onsite visits or on additional days

• Flexible part-time scheduling opportunities

This position requires onsite availability in Cape May, NJ, and is not a fully remote role.

Compensation

• Initial Psychiatric Evaluations: $70–$90 per completed visit

• Follow-Up Medication Management: $40–$60 per completed visit

Compensation is based on experience, credentials, qualifications, and clinical expertise.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and follow-up medication-management visits

• Assess, diagnose, and treat psychiatric and behavioral health conditions using DSM-5-TR criteria

• Prescribe and manage psychiatric medications

• Develop and maintain individualized treatment plans

• Monitor patient progress, treatment effectiveness, and medication side effects

• Provide education to patients and families regarding psychiatric conditions and treatment

• Complete accurate and timely clinical documentation in the EMR

• Collaborate with therapists, social workers, and other members of the treatment team

• Conduct clinical risk assessments and address patient concerns as appropriate

• Follow HIPAA requirements, professional standards, and organizational policies

Required Qualifications

• Master's or doctoral degree from an accredited Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner program

• Active New Jersey RN license

• Active New Jersey Advanced Practice Nurse (APN) certification

• Current PMHNP-BC certification

• Active DEA registration

• Active New Jersey Controlled Dangerous Substances (CDS) registration

• Strong clinical assessment, medication-management, and communication skills

• Ability to provide onsite psychiatric services in Cape May and telehealth services to patients located in New Jersey

Experience:

• At least one year of experience as a PMHNP is preferred

• Newly certified PMHNPs with relevant psychiatric experience are welcome to apply

Experience in outpatient behavioral health, geriatric psychiatry, telehealth, or community-based settings is preferred.

Position Details

This position is offered as a 1099 independent contractor opportunity.

Mindify provides an established patient referral network, administrative scheduling support, malpractice insurance coverage, and a collaborative agreement for services delivered to Mindify patients.

Malpractice coverage and the collaborative agreement apply only while actively contracted with Mindify and do not extend to outside employment or private practice.

Part-time or full-time W-2 opportunities may be considered in the future based on organizational needs and mutual interest.
