Job summary

Wilmington Family Counseling Service, Inc. is seeking a part-time Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) to provide clinical care in Wilmington, MA. The role is 16 hours per week with flexible office and remote options.

The PMHNP will perform comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, diagnose and treat illnesses, prescribe medications, and collaborate with a supervising physician. Prior-authorizations may be required; MA licensure is mandatory.

Qualifications

• Massachusetts PMHNP license required.
• 2-3 years prescribing PMHNP experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive psychiatric examinations of clients.
• Diagnose and treat acute, episodic, or chronic psychiatric illnesses.
• Prescribe all necessary medications and treatments.
• Communicate with supervising physician regarding patient care.
• Perform prior authorizations for prescribed medications, if necessary.

Licensed as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) by the Massachusetts Board of Nursing (Required).

Essential Duties:

• Perform comprehensive psychiatric examinations of clients.
• Diagnose and treat acute, episodic, or chronic psychiatric illnesses.
• Prescribe all necessary medications and treatments.
• Communicate with supervising physician regarding patient care.
• Perform prior authorizations for prescribed medications, if necessary.
• At least (2) to (3) years of previous experience as a prescribing Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner.
