Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in nursing with ANCC PMHNP certification is required.
• RN and APNP license in MN is required.
• Minimum of five years’ experience as a psychiatric nurse is required.

Responsibilities

• Perform physical examinations and preventive health measures.
• Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests to identify health problems.
• Record findings and formulate plan, diagnosis, and treatment.
• Collaborate with the health care team for comprehensive patient care planning.
• Prescribe medications or therapies including psychotherapy, laboratory, or related procedures.
• Meet productivity standards and refer patients to physicians for consultation or further care.
• Provide community consultation and education to improve mental health services.
• Travel to outlying work sites as assigned.
• Lead and mentor peers, colleagues, and students in professional development.
