Job summary

Thriveworks is seeking a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner in Chesapeake, VA to provide telemedicine and in-office care for adults and adolescents, with a focus on ADHD and mood disorders.

Licensed PMHNP with board certification and prescriptive authority in Virginia is required; 1 year psychiatry experience preferred. A $7500 ramp sign-on and a competitive W2 fee-for-service compensation package are offered, with hybrid scheduling and in-person clinic day each week.

Qualifications

• Licensed Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with board certification.
• Master's in Nursing with active prescriptive authority in the state.
• Three years of experience is a plus; 1 year of psychiatry practice is required.
• Clinicians must be licensed and live in the state they practice.
• In-house ADHD treatment standards training and certification.

Responsibilities

• Make psychiatric assessments and evaluations of clients in ongoing telemedicine capacity.
• Ability to treat clients age 14 and up.
• Go into the office at least 1 day per week.
• Prescribe medications to reduce mental health symptoms as needed.
• Create and collaborate on care plans with clients.
• Adhere to Clinical Practice Guidelines and consult with Regional Clinic Directors.

Thriveworks is currently seeking Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioners in Chesapeake, VA.***Clinicians need to be licensed and living in the state in which they will be practicing.****** We are currently offering a $7500 Ramp Stipend/Sign-on bonus.***Compensation: This is a Fee for Service (W2) position, the range for this position is $130,000-$187,000 per year based on 25-35 clinical hours per week.To maintain safety and best practices for our clinicians and patients via telemedicine, Thriveworks does not push or incentivize the use of stimulant medications; instead, we offer them as an option based on the client’s specific symptoms and diagnosis, with prescribing decisions left to the discretion of the clinician. We do not currently treat substance use disorders, and make every effort to refer out to an in-person provider when symptoms arise that are too severe to be treated via telemedicine only.Thriveworks Nurse Practitioners are expected to provide care to a diverse population of clients with mental health conditions such as depression, anxiety, ADHD, and more.
