Job summary

MaineHealth Lincoln Hospital in Damariscotta, ME is seeking an experienced part-time PMHNP to co-manage patients in the Outpatient Primary Care Practice. Under physician direction, you will provide psychiatric evaluations, medication management, and collaborative care with primary clinicians.

This 16-hours-per-week role offers credentialed practice in a supportive community hospital setting with opportunities to learn across clinics while delivering high-quality mental health care.

Qualifications

• Master's degree as Advanced Nurse Practitioner.
• Two years’ experience as a PMHNP minimum (Required).
• Valid license as a Nurse Practitioner by the Maine State Board of Nursing and qualified to do psychiatric evaluations and medication management.
• Must meet credentialing criteria needed if working in the hospital as defined by Medical Staff By-Laws.
• Advanced skill and knowledge in conducting psychiatric evaluations and treating psychiatric patients.

Responsibilities

• Complete diagnostic evaluation and health screening.
• Prescribe medical treatment within scope of practice.
• Provide ongoing medication assessment, education, and management.
• Provide therapeutic treatment in face-to-face and tele-psychiatric evaluations.
• Develop and record a plan for effective and timely treatment for patients in a community-based setting.
• Respond to medical emergencies and determine need for transfer to accepting facility in collaboration with psychiatric care when needed.
• Complete medical records timely per policy.

Under the direction of a physician and/or Medical Director, this NP’s responsibilities include co-management of caseloads with the patients’ primary clinician.

Schedule

16 hours/week

Duties/Responsibilities

The pay range for this position at a .4 FTE is $47,255 to $61,153 annually based on the candidate’s level of experience.
