Job summary

Marillac Health in Grand Junction, CO seeks a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner to deliver high-quality psychiatric care. You will evaluate patients, develop treatment plans, manage medications, and provide therapy within a collaborative care model.

You will also educate patients and families, maintain EMRs, and participate in team initiatives. The role requires PMH credentials, current licensure, prescriptive privileges in Colorado, a DEA license, and BLS.

Qualifications

• Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with MSN/PMH focus.
• Current and unrestricted license.
• Colorado prescriptive privileges.
• Unrestricted DEA license.
• Current BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive psychiatric evaluations including histories and mental status.
• Create individualized treatment plans with meds and therapies.
• Prescribe, monitor, and adjust psychiatric medications; educate on side effects.
• Provide evidence-based individual psychotherapy interventions.
• Collaborate with primary/behavioral health providers for integrated care.
• Assess and intervene in psychiatric crises; refer to inpatient care when needed.
• Educate patients and families on mental health conditions and treatments.
• Maintain accurate electronic medical records in compliance with regulations.
• Demonstrate cultural competence and sensitivity in care delivery.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance care quality.
• Attend bi-monthly team meetings to support clinical team needs.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
