Ideal candidates hold a Texas APRN license with PMHNP, or TX PA license, prescriptive authority, and 2–3 years of psychiatric practice in higher-acuity

Qualifications

  • Active Texas APRN license with PMHNP certification, or active Texas PA license.
  • Prescriptive authority (may be delegated).
  • ANCC, NPI, DEA.
  • Minimum 2–3 years of psychiatric experience strongly preferred.
  • Experience treating adults in PHP/IOP/inpatient/residential Higher Level of Care.

Responsibilities

  • Provide 40 clinical hours/week of in‑person psychiatric care to adult patients in PHP/IOP/inpatient/residential programming.

Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) – Adult Higher Level of Care | Experienced
Overview

We are seeking experienced Psychiatric Nurse Practitioners with a strong background in treating adults within Higher Level of Care (HLOC) settings: PHP, IOP, inpatient, and residential treatment.

This role centers on psychiatric care for adults stepping down from acute inpatient or residential settings or stepping up from outpatient care.

Ideal candidates bring strong clinical judgment, confidence managing complex and higher-acuity adult presentations, and hands‑on experience with medication management and interventional services in a PHP/IOP/inpatient/residential environment.

This is a full-time, 40-hours/week, in‑office clinical role with industry‑leading compensation, bonuses, and comprehensive benefits.

What You'll Do

Adult-focused clinical care

  • Provide 40 clinical hours/week of in‑person psychiatric care to adult patients in PHP/IOP/inpatient/residential programming
  • Manage higher‑acuity adult patients, including those transitioning into or out of PHP/IOP/inpatient/residential levels of care
  • Complete psychiatric evaluations, diagnostic assessments, and individualized treatment plans
  • Deliver ongoing medication management with a focus on safety, efficacy, and patient education
  • Coordinate care with patients' families and support systems, with appropriate consent, regarding treatment planning, progress, and medication changes

Team & program responsibilities

  • Collaborate with psychiatrists, therapists, executives, and administrative staff on coordinated patient care
  • Maintain accurate and timely EHR documentation
  • Participate in case reviews, team meetings, and quality‑improvement initiatives
  • Uphold state regulations, scope of practice, and ethical standards specific to HLOC programming
Schedule

All schedules are structured to ensure 40 hours/week of in‑office clinical care. Daytime, evening, and rotating weekend availability may be required depending on site needs. Bonus compensation is sometimes available to assist with weekend care.

Qualifications
  • Active Texas APRN license with PMHNP certification, or active Texas PA license

  • Experience treating adults required; strongly preferred in a PHP/IOP/inpatient/residential (Higher Level of Care) setting

$150,000 – $200,000 + bonus. Compensation is based on experience, background with complex and higher‑acuity adult cases, and clinical capabilities.
