Be responsible for initial and follow‑up psychiatric consults in selected assisted living and skilled nursing facilities.
Daily patient encounters are 11–16, with light clinical documentation (initial and follow‑up progress notes). Minimal bureaucracy: no history and physicals, no discharge summaries, no treatment plans, no treatment team meetings, and no rounds. Use streamlined one‑page note templates.
Perform the same duties on all sites; no hospital‑based services, admissions, discharges, or significant administrative responsibilities beyond documentation and billing submission.
Participate in a telephone‑based on‑call schedule: roughly one weeknight in seven and less than one weekend per month, with infrequent phone calls during the shift.
Daily work schedule is flexible and affords much autonomy, with support available from the three psychiatrists and team members.
Experience prescribing and monitoring psychotropic medications is strongly preferred; training will be provided for the right candidate. PMHNP certification is required in Pennsylvania and is ideal in New Jersey. NY APRN licensure is also acceptable for NY positions, with consideration for FNP and geriatric NP.
Full‑time salary starts at $130,000+ (based on experience/resume), with annual increases, productivity bonuses, full health benefits, a retirement plan, 4 weeks PTO, 3 CME days with stipend/reimbursement for license renewals, and national holidays off.
