Responsibilities

• Prescribe/monitor medications per diagnoses and guidelines; order labs and review results.
• Administer injections and maintain safety and teaching standards.
• Apply knowledge of DSM and crisis/emergency interventions in care planning.

Aspire has health centers in five Central Indiana counties serving Hoosiers of all ages and walks of life.

Position Summary

This position will provide behavioral health care services and medication management to adults in an outpatient setting, and perform as an independent and interdependent member of the medical services team. Duties include, but are not limited to, physical assessments, medical evaluations, prescribing and/or monitoring medications accroding to appropriate diagnoses, symptoms and guidelines, ordering appropriate laboratory tests, reviewing results and making necessary adjustments, administering injections, etc. This position demands a high level of safety awareness and teaching skills. Knowledge and experience of DSM and crisis & emergency interventions are needed.

Education/Experience/Requirements

• Master's degree in Nursing from an accredited nursing school
• Must be recognized as a Registered Nurse (RN) with Prescriptive Authority by the State of Indiana
• Must have a current Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) certificate and State of Indiana Controlled Substance Registration (CSR)
• Must have ANCC or other certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner
