Job summary

HealthCare Choices NY in New York is seeking a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner to diagnose and treat individuals with mental and developmental disorders. Based on diagnosed conditions, you will prescribe or administer medications and other specialized medical care to treat or prevent psychiatric illnesses. Qualifications

• At least 3 years of work experience as a psychiatric NP.
• Ability to work with a team of providers.
• Proficient in utilizing the computer.

Within the scope of licensing, training, credentialing, and privileging, the Psychiatric NP diagnoses and treats people with mental and developmental disorders. Based on a diagnosis, the Psychiatric NP shall prescribe or administer medication and other specialized medical care to treat or prevent psychiatric and related illnesses, diseases, or injuries.
