Job summary

Blue Sky Mental Health Clinic in Washington, D.C. seeks a dedicated Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) to join a collaborative, in-person clinical team. You will work side-by-side with physicians, therapists, and support staff to provide high-quality mental health care to a diverse patient community.

The role requires active DC APRN/PMHNP licensure and DC DEA registration, with 100% on-site work at our DC clinic. Candidates with 1+ years of outpatient experience are welcome.

Qualifications

• Active DC APRN / PMHNP License: Must hold an active, unencumbered license in the District of Columbia prior to start date.
• Active DC DEA Registration: Active prescriptive authority for District of Columbia (or eligible to transfer/add DC location).
• Education & Certification: Master’s or Doctoral degree in Nursing with ANCC Board Certification as a PMHNP (PMHNP-BC).
• Work Setting: Ability to work 100% on-site at our Washington, D.C. clinic.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive in-person psychiatric evaluations, diagnostic assessments, and mental status exams.
• Formulate evidence-based treatment plans and manage ongoing psychopharmacological care.
• Provide direct face-to-face risk assessments and crisis intervention as needed.
• Collaborate closely with on-site multidisciplinary teams to ensure integrated, holistic care.
• Maintain timely and accurate clinical documentation compliant with District and federal guidelines.
