Job summary

Bluestone Physician Services is seeking a Part-time Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner to provide consultative psychiatric care to Bluestone Primary Care patients and collaborate with the Behavioral Health Integration Program. The role requires graduate of an accredited NP/PA program, ANCC board certification, active licensure, DEA certification where required, and strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Local travel is expected.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant Education Program.
• Board Certified through ANCC or equivalent.
• Licensed or able to obtain licensure through state boards.
• DEA certification for the State(s) required for work.

Responsibilities

• Provide regularly scheduled caseload consultation to behavioral health care managers.
• Oversee the status and population health of assigned patient caseload using a registry.
• Recommend treatment adjustments and other interventions.
• Advise on treatment for more intensive or specialized mental health care, coordinating with medical settings.
• Occasional ad hoc telephone consultation to primary care providers for complex patients.

Position Overview

We are seeking a part-time/per diem (4-5 hours per week) experienced Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner to join our growing team. In this role, you will provide consultative psychiatric care to Bluestone Primary Care patients in coordination with primary care and provide consultation to the Bluestone Behavioral Health Integration Program.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide regularly scheduled (usually weekly) caseload consultation to behavioral health care managers.
• Work with behavioral health care managers to oversee the status and population health of their assigned patient caseload. The psychiatric consultant uses a registry to track all assigned patients and prioritize patients for case review and treatment adjustment.
• Recommend any treatment adjustments through the case review process or in ad hoc consultations, including medication recommendations and other interventions.
• Advise on treatment for patients who may need more intensive or more specialized mental health care, supporting treatment in the medical setting until patients can be engaged in specialized care as appropriate.
• Provide occasional ad hoc telephone consultation to primary care providers for very complex patients or challenging patient situations.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant Education Program
• Board Certified through ANCC
• Licensed or ability to obtain licensure(s) through the Board of Nursing.
• Ability to obtain and/or maintain DEA certification for the State(s) required for work
• Proven ability to communicate effectively with strong verbal skills
• Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
• Must have a valid and unrestricted driver's license and minimum state-required liability auto insurance; local travel is required

Preferred Qualifications

• 2+ years of clinical experience as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner

Per Diem Compensation

• Compensation: $105/per hour - $130/per hour
