Job summary

Qualifications
- One year of psychiatric nursing experience in a skilled nursing facility or acute hospital.
- Graduation from an accredited LVN or LPT program and current license in California.
- A valid CPR certificate is required.
- Knowledge of psychotropic medications and California mental health laws and regulations.
- Applicant must receive clearance from the Department of Justice.
Responsibilities
- Administers medications and treatments as prescribed by the physician.
- Transcribes physician orders accurately and in a timely manner.
- Documents response to treatment and notifies the medical team of clinical changes.
- Coordinates admissions and discharges with the treatment team and MHW staff.
- Maintains safety and adheres to policies and standards of care.
