Job summary

Peace River Center seeks a Board-certified Advanced Practice Registered Nurse with a Psychiatry specialty to provide both inpatient and outpatient psychiatric medication management for adults, children, and adolescents. The APRN will collaborate with a supervising physician, maintain EHR documentation, and participate in program protocols.

The role requires strong assessment, diagnostic, and communication skills within a diverse clinical setting.

Qualifications

• Requires a master's degree in nursing and graduate from an accredited Advanced Practice Registered Nurse program, with Psychiatry specialization.
• Evidence of clinical experience and competency in psychiatric care.
• Active Florida APRN license with psychiatric subspecialty.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic evaluations per licensure.
• Provide psychopharmacologic management.
• Deliver psychoeducation to clients and families as appropriate.
• Complete inpatient (60%) and outpatient (40%) psychiatric medication management for adults, children, and adolescents.
• Submit protocols with supervising physicians as required by the Board of Nursing.
• Maintain documentation according to agency standards in the EHR.
