Volunteers of America, Utah is seeking a Psychiatric APRN to join our Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) team in Salt Lake City. This field-based role delivers care where clients live and engage with an interdisciplinary team.

You will perform psychiatric assessments, prescribe medications, and coordinate care with a focus on reducing hospitalizations. Eligible candidates must have Utah APRN license and prescriptive authority; field-work and valid driver’s license required.

Qualifications

• APRN license with inpatient psychiatric experience
• Experience with serious mental illness or substance use disorder preferred
• Able to work in field settings and community/home environments
• Pass pre-employment drug screen and background check; valid driver's license

Responsibilities

• Provide psychiatric assessments, medication management, and clinical oversight for individuals with SMI
• Deliver care in community and home-based settings with a multidisciplinary ACT team
• Build therapeutic relationships and help clients stay out of hospital
• Prescribe psychotropic meds and monitor responses and side effects
• Participate in crisis intervention and care coordination
