Job summary

BAS Healthcare, Inc in Danvers, MA is seeking a part-time Advanced Practitioner (APN or PA) to provide geriatric mental health care at our outpatient center with some coverage at a secondary hospital location.

The role focuses on comprehensive geriatric psychiatric evaluations, psychopharmacological management, dementia care, and patient/caregiver education. Must have graduate degree (MSN or PA) and MA license; schedule is 30 hours per week, with benefits through employment.

Responsibilities

Facility:

This is a multi-disciplinary outpatient center dedicated to providing experienced, compassionate care for seniors aged 65 and over. The center offers both geriatric medicine consults and geriatric behavioral health services, supported by a collaborative team that includes geriatricians, geriatric psychiatrists, adult psychiatrists, psychiatric nurse practitioners, licensed clinical social workers, and a dedicated clinical support team.

Advanced Practitioner / Advance Practice Provider / Physician Assistant

Job Details:

• Part-time Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant position primarily based at an outpatient center with coverage as needed at a secondary hospital location
• Provide direct geriatric patient mental health care services including comprehensive geriatric psychiatric evaluations and psychopharmacological management
• Diagnosis, treatment, and medication management for patients with behavioral health issues and comorbid conditions including dementia
• Educate patients and their caregivers on illness management and provide supportive care
• Work closely with licensed clinical social workers who conduct initial behavioural health intakes and provide individual therapy
• Must be comfortable and enjoy working with behavioural health patients and the geriatric population
• Ideal candidate has experience with issues of aging, geriatric medicine, and geriatric syndromes including various forms of dementia
• Report to the medical director and geriatric psychiatrist for clinical supervision
• Graduate of a Master's Program in Nursing or Physician Assistant program required
• Current NP or PA license in the state of Massachusetts requiredSchedule: 30 hours per week
