Job summary

Sagent Behavioral Health is launching Intero, a ketamine-assisted psychotherapy program. As a Psychedelic Therapist, you will lead part of your caseload through the psychedelic-assisted treatment model while maintaining other parts through psychedelic-informed psychotherapy or other modalities.

You will participate in weekly Intero team meetings with medical providers to ensure ethical practice and coordinated care in Mendota Heights, MN.

Qualifications

• Master's degree or higher in behavioral sciences or related field.
• Fully independently licensed mental health professional (LICSW, LMFT, LPCC, LP) in Minnesota.
• Completion of approved Ketamine-assisted psychotherapy training or equivalent.
• Experience completing diagnostic assessments and creating treatment plans with proper documentation.
• Experience helping clients navigate non-ordinary states of consciousness and in crisis de-escalation.
• Proficiency with Office 365 and EHR systems.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate clients’ mental health diagnoses and create/implement treatment plans with timely documentation.
• Provide psychedelic-assisted psychotherapy (ketamine) following Intero protocol.
• Collaborate with medical professionals throughout the 4-phase process.
• Coordinate services with case managers, families, and school staff as needed.
• Engage in on-the-job training and clinical leadership supervision.
• Review Intero-specific clinical documents and program processes (documentation, billing, scheduling).
• Attend all clinical staff meetings and trainings.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate client’s mental health diagnoses, create and implement appropriate treatment plans with documentation in a timely fashion, using creativity in interventions to help clients achieve and exceed goals.
• Provide psychedelic‑assisted psychotherapy (currently ketamine) following the Intero protocol, including the 4‑phase process of assessment, preparation, treatment, and integration.
• Work in collaboration/co‑facilitation with medical professionals throughout the 4‑phase process.
• Coordinate services with case managers, families, work personnel, medical personnel, other Sagent staff, and school staff as needed, including supporting clients with obtaining medical clearance to proceed with ketamine‑assisted psychotherapy, where appropriate.
• Engage in in‑depth on‑the‑job training and consultation with clinical leadership team to ensure ethical practice and service delivery.
• Regularly review Intero‑specific clinical documents such as the ketamine‑assisted psychotherapy manual, ketamine‑assisted therapy preparation and aftercare instructions, Intero program processes including documentation, billing, scheduling, etc.
• Attend and participate in all clinical staff meetings, discussions regarding ethics within the psychedelic‑assisted clinical field, and trainings.

Requirements

• Master’s degree or higher in one of the behavioral sciences or related fields from an accredited college or university.
• Fully independently licensed mental health professional (LICSW, LMFT, LPCC, LP) in the state of Minnesota.
• Completion of approved external Ketamine‑Assisted Psychotherapy training (e.g., modules 1 and 2 from Polaris Insight Center) or equivalent.
• Experience completing diagnostic assessments, treatment plans and clinical case notes with the ability to demonstrate stable, appropriate boundaries with clients.
• Experience in helping clients navigate non‑ordinary states of consciousness and in assisting clients in de‑escalation and crisis; knowledge of psychedelic effects.
• Proficiency in the use of Office 365 and EHR systems.

Compensation

Rate Based Pay Model

• Licensed: $68,000 – 75,000

Commission Based Pay Model

• Licensed: $66,000 – 124,000
• Actual compensation may be determined by various factors such as education, experience, skillset, internal equity, schedule, and/or location.
• Employees in these positions are W2.
