As a component of the medical center's Comprehensive Psychiatric Emergency Program (CPEP), the Mobile Crisis Service provides outreach to individuals living in Washington Heights, Inwood, and nearby neighborhoods of the Bronx who are experiencing a psychiatric crisis but have been unable to access mental health treatment. Members of our multi-disciplinary team make home visits in order to engage the individual, assess the nature of their clinical needs, and determine the types of services that best support those needs.
