Job summary

St. Luke’s Health System in Boise, Idaho, seeks a compassionate Psychiatric Oncology RN to join the Supportive Oncology team at St. Luke’s Cancer Institute.

This full-time 0.9 FTE role is based at SLCI Boise with occasional Meridian coverage and offers sign-on bonus and certification pay. You will triage, educate, coordinate care, and support patients and families through cancer treatment and symptom management, partnering with an interdisciplinary team to deliver patient-centered care.

Qualifications

• Education: Nursing Degree
• Experience: One (1) + years’ RN experience
• Licenses/Certifications: Current RN licensure from the State of Practice AND Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Provider Certified through American Heart Association, American Red Cross, or American Health & Safety Institute
• Preferred: Behavioral Health and/or Oncology experience

Responsibilities

• Assess patients and support providers with oncology and mental health patient care, treatment management, and coordination of services across the continuum of care
• Partner closely with an interdisciplinary team including physicians, advanced practice providers, navigators, pharmacists, patient financial advocates, and other specialists to deliver exceptional patient-centered care
• Provide education, guidance, and emotional support to patients and families regarding cancer treatment plans, symptom management, and available resources
• Assist with patient assessments, including vital signs and laboratory results, to help develop, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans
