Ohio Department of Behavioral Health (DBH) is hiring a Central Ohio Behavioral Healthcare RN to provide psychiatric nursing care on a designated unit. The role involves maintaining a therapeutic milieu, coordinating with an interdisciplinary team, documenting patient progress, and leading nursing care under the direction of the charge nurse.

The position operates on the 2:30 PM–11:00 PM shift, located at 2200 West Broad Street, Columbus, OH 43223.

Qualifications

• Requires current license as registered nurse (RN) in Ohio.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a therapeutic milieu focused on delivering quality patient care.
• Serve as interdisciplinary team member for psychiatric patients; contribute to treatment plans.
• Observe, evaluate, and record patient behavior, conditions, and responses to medication and treatment.
• Serve as charge nurse; direct nursing care on unit and support nursing staff; promote a safe recovery environment.
• Contribute input on records, plans and reports.
• Facilitate patient group activities.
