Job summary

About the Role:

The Production Supervisor plays a critical role in overseeing and managing the daily operations of manufacturing production lines to ensure efficient, safe, and high-quality output. This position is responsible for coordinating production activities, managing team performance, and maintaining compliance with safety and quality standards. The Production Supervisor will lead a team of production workers, providing guidance, training, and support to meet production goals and deadlines. They will also collaborate with other departments such as quality control, maintenance, and supply chain to optimize workflow and resolve any production issues. Ultimately, the role ensures that manufacturing processes run smoothly, cost-effectively, and in alignment with company objectives and regulatory requirements.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High school or equivalent preferred
• Proven experience in a supervisory or leadership role within a production or manufacturing setting is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of production processes, safety standards, and quality control practices.
• Proven ability to lead and manage a team effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.
• Basic computer skills including familiarity with production management software and Microsoft Office.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Management, or related discipline.
• Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies.
• Certification in safety management or production supervision (e.g., OSHA, APICS).
• Experience working with ERP systems and advanced production tracking tools.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret production data and implement corrective actions

Responsibilities:

• Supervise and coordinate daily production activities to meet established schedules and quality standards.
• Lead, train, and motivate production team members to achieve performance targets and maintain a safe work environment.
• Monitor production processes and equipment, identifying and addressing any operational issues promptly.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, safety regulations, and quality control procedures.
• Collaborate with maintenance, quality assurance, and supply chain teams to optimize production efficiency and resolve bottlenecks.
• Maintain accurate production records and prepare reports on performance metrics, downtime, and workforce productivity.
• Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance manufacturing processes and reduce waste.
• Other duties as assigned

Physical Requirement:

Must have the ability to stand, walk, and lift for extended periods, sometimes with heavy loads. Must be able to work in non-climate-controlled environments.
