Chubb Personal Risk Services (PRS) is currently seeking an Associate Premier Underwriter to join our team in one of the following locations: Whitehouse Station, NJ, Chicago, IL, Kansas City, MO, or San Diego, CA.
Position Description:
The successful candidate will work as an integral part of the underwriting center team by contributing to the achievement of business results for our most important clients, including the use of underwriting judgment, delegated underwriting authority, and support of Premier and Portfolio Underwriting partners. This individual must demonstrate the ability to effectively evaluate risk for approval, including alignment with strategies, underwriting guidance, and published workflows & processes.
The position requires daily interaction with the Premier and Portfolio Underwriting Teams and Agent partners. It involves executing risk analysis, ensuring service timeliness, personal accountability, and teamwork. Successful individuals will demonstrate strong business competencies, including personal accountability, risk analysis preparation & selection, application of customer focus, and effective process management.
The Premier Account Segment comprises accounts generating at least $50,000 of annual personal insurance premium. The Associate Premier Underwriter (APU) is a vital part of the team’s success. This position offers a unique opportunity for individuals interested in pursuing a career in underwriting. Successful applicants will be trained in the APU role but will not be assigned a specific book of business. The work will span across centers, handling both portfolio and premier business as needed, with the potential to transition to a full-time APU role in the future.
