Job summary

Freedom Behavioral Hospital of Ferriday is seeking a Mental Health Professional who holds a Master’s degree and is pursuing licensure in Louisiana. You will deliver individual, family, and group therapy, complete psychosocial assessments, and develop treatment plans within a collaborative care model.

The role requires active Louisiana licensure (LCSW, LPC, LMFT, LMSW, PLPC or equivalent), experience with adult/geriatric populations, and strong documentation practices to meet regulatory

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in a mental health field is required.
• Active licensure in Louisiana (LCSW, LPC, LMFT, LMSW, PLPC, etc.).
• Experience with adult/geriatric populations; adolescents preferred.
• Pursuing licensure (PLPC or equivalent) acceptable during early career.

Responsibilities

• Conduct individual, family, and group therapy sessions per program schedules.
• Complete psychosocial assessments and develop treatment plans.
• Collaborate with families, caregivers, and external agencies.
• Participate in interdisciplinary treatment team meetings and staffing’s.
• Ensure documentation complies with facility and regulatory standards.
• Provide crisis intervention and facilitate case conferences when needed.
• Maintain a therapeutic, safe, and supportive environment for patients.
• Uphold all facility policies and regulatory guidelines.

We are currently seeking a Mental Health Professional who holds a Master’s degree and is working toward licensure (PLPC or equivalent) in Louisiana.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct individual, family, and group therapy sessions aligned with program schedules
• Complete psychosocial assessments and develop treatment plans
• Collaborate with families, caregivers, and external agencies
• Participate in interdisciplinary treatment team meetings and staffing’s
• Ensure documentation complies with facility and regulatory standards
• Provide crisis intervention and facilitate special case conferences when needed
• Maintain a therapeutic, safe, and supportive environment for patients
• Uphold all facility policies and regulatory guidelines

Requirements:

• Education: Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or a related mental health field
• Licensure: Must hold a current and active license in the state of Louisiana (LCSW, LPC, LMFT, LMSW, PLPC, Ect.)

Experience:

• Previous experience working with adult and/or geriatric populations is required
• Experience working with adolescents is strongly preferred
