Job summary

Molina Healthcare is seeking an entry-level Provider Relations Support Specialist to assist health plan provider relations activities. The role is the primary contact between Molina and contracted providers, supporting network development, adequacy, and provider education.

You will resolve provider inquiries, document requests, and assist in communicating policy changes; travel regionally as needed to meet providers and maintain satisfaction across the Molina network.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of customer service, provider services, or claims experience in a managed care or medical office setting.
• General understanding of the health care delivery system, including government-sponsored health plans.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
• Interpersonal skills to interface with providers and medical office staff.
• Ability to work in a cross-functional, highly matrixed organization.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Microsoft Office suite proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Provide entry-level support for provider-related inquiries and maintain provider satisfaction for non-complex providers.
• Receive, research, and resolve provider inquiries such as claims and eligibility; act as liaison between providers, medical groups, and the health plan.
• Assist with education of providers on regulations, procedures, and access to information; help ensure correct member dismissal communications.
• Support other provider relations team members in the field.
• Document provider requests per departmental procedures.
• Assist with provider relations mailbox response and off-site meetings.
• Travel regularly throughout designated regions to meet provider needs.
