Job summary

Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Minnesota is seeking a Provider Partner to manage day-to-day provider relationships, ensuring operational efficiency, contract compliance, and positive engagement. Qualifications

  • 3+ years of related contracts and/or legal professional experience.
  • Bachelor's degree; in lieu of a degree, an additional two years of relevant experience beyond the qualifications listed above may be accepted.

Responsibilities

  • Manage daily provider interactions, log issues, track progress, and escalate per defined thresholds.
  • Negotiate provider contracts within established guidelines and timelines; prepare reports summarizing negotiation status and outcomes.
  • Coordinate onboarding activities for small providers using standardized templates and processes.
  • Analyze and interpret contracting and financial data to identify opportunities for improved provider engagement and contract value.
  • Monitor adherence to contract terms, operational requirements, and performance against budget targets and deadlines; maintain accurate records of provider contacts, actions, and outcomes.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (finance, credentialing, compliance) to resolve provider-related issues and maintain alignment with organizational standards.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal contract administration policies across all assigned activities.
  • Performs additional responsibilities consistent with the scope and level of the role, as assigned.

The Impact You Will Have

What You'll Do

Required Skills & Experience

  • Ability to tailor communication to varied audiences, actively listen to uncover requirements, and ensure accurate and timely information exchange.

  • Ability to analyze information, identify patterns and root causes, and collaborate with partners to implement practical solutions.

  • Ability to effectively organize work, balance competing priorities, and manage time across multiple responsibilities and deadlines.

  • Knowledge of state and federal healthcare regulations, including statutes, administrative requirements, regulatory processes, and their interpretation and impact.

  • Knowledge of payment and operational standards, including coding and reimbursement methodologies, contract language and compliance, claims operations, medical management, and quality/clinical programs.

  • Understanding of contract law and compliance frameworks, including healthcare regulations, data privacy, and vendor risk management.

  • Experience with contract redlining tools and related legal technology.

Our hybrid approach is designed to balance flexibility with meaningful in-person connection and collaboration. We come together in the office two days each week - most teams designate at least one anchor day to ensure team interaction. These in-person moments foster relationships, creativity, and alignment. The rest of the week you are empowered to work remote.


Compensation and Benefits:

Pay Range: $79,100.00 - $104,800.00 - $130,500.00 Annual


Pay is based on several factors which vary based on position, including skills, ability, and knowledge the selected individual is bringing to the specific job.
