Job summary

Office of the Inspector General, USPS, is seeking a Criminal Investigator in the Provider Fraud Investigations Division. Reassignment from 1811 to Journey Band (GS-11 to GS-13) with duties across federal investigations, including surveillance, interviews, and evidence collection.

Salary ranges from $74,678 to $172,980 per year with locality pay; telework eligible and a Top Secret clearance required. Location not fixed and assignments will be at selected duty station.

Qualifications

• Education must be accredited by an institution recognized by the U.S. Department of Education.
• Foreign education must be evaluated for equivalency by a private U.S. credential evaluation service.

Responsibilities

• Plans, conducts and/or coordinates criminal, civil and administrative investigations involving USPS personnel or contractors.
• Obtains and evaluates information to support investigations and applies for warrants when required.
• Assists attorneys in grand jury presentations and court cases; may testify as a witness.
