Job summary

Acadia Healthcare’s Huntington Creek Recovery Center seeks a PRN Nurse Practitioner to join our addiction treatment team. You will diagnose and treat patients, help develop Master Treatment Plans, and provide clinical support on-site with occasional telehealth coverage.

DEA waiver required and NP board certification or eligibility are expected. The role offers flexibility with ~three on-site shifts per week and telehealth weekend coverage, in a 70-bed facility serving 60–65 patients daily.

Qualifications

• Master's in Nursing; NP program required.
• Clinical experience with patient population; understanding limits, boundaries, crisis management, treatment, environment and patient care.
• Minimum of 1 year experience as a Practicing Nurse Practitioner preferred.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and treat acute, episodic or chronic illness, independently or with a healthcare team.
• Participate in formulating patient Master Treatment Plan.
• Assess physical and psychiatric health and plan measures to meet needs.
• Chart observations, evaluations and treatment per facility guidelines.
• Communicate with physicians and staff to provide quality care.
• Encourage family involvement and address education needs.
• Support hospital policy, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
• Provide services per state NP guidelines and on-call responsibilities.

Huntington Creek Recovery Center is seeking a PRN Nurse Practitioner to join our addiction treatment team. This role offers a flexible schedule with approximately three onsite shifts per week and one telehealth weekend coverage, averaging about 4 hours per shift.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

Summary:

• Diagnose and treat acute, episodic or chronic illness, independently or as part of a healthcare team.
• Participate in the formulation of patient Master Treatment Plan
• Assess physical and psychiatric health of patient and formulate measures to meet patient needs.
• Chart clinical observation (direct or through dictation), evaluations and treatment of patient in required time according to facility guidelines.
• Communicate with physicians and other staff as necessary to provide quality care for patient within appropriate guidelines.
• Encourage family involvement in patient care. Respond to identified patient and family educational needs.
• Support and follow legal requirements, hospital policy and procedures, medical staff bylaws and regulatory requirements.
• Provide services that are in accordance with the state guidelines for Nurse Practitioners.
• Provide on-call responsibilities on scheduled basis directed by medical staff.
• May focus on health promotion and disease prevention. May order, perform or interpret diagnostic tests such as lab work and x-rays. May prescribe medication.
• Demonstrate a positive, empathetic and professional attitude towards customers always. When patient needs are not met, acknowledge and work to resolve complaints. Recognize that patient safety is a top priority.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

• Master's in Nursing, Nurse Practitioner program required.
• Clinical experience working with the patient population of the facility; ability to demonstrate knowledge of concepts of limit setting, therapeutic boundaries, crisis management, therapeutic treatment, environment and patient care required.
• Minimum of 1 year experience as a Practicing Nurse Practitioner preferred.

Licenses/Certifications:

• Board Certified Nurse Practitioner required.
• Licensed to practice in the state in which the facility operates.
• DEA license.
