Job summary

Baylor Scott & White Health is seeking a Provider Coding Compliance Consultant to strengthen the organization’s policies and compliance efforts. The role reports to the Coding Compliance Manager and operates under the Compliance Vice President or Director.

Responsibilities include planning audits, conducting provider service reviews, and delivering clear reports with improvement recommendations, while coordinating corrective action plans with departments across BSWH.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in health information management or equivalent work experience.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in healthcare coding or compliance auditing.
• Knowledge of CPT, ICD-10-CM, HCPCS and payer-specific rules preferred.

Responsibilities

• Identifies projects for audits and schedules audits with relevant personnel.
• Audits provider services to ensure compliance with BSWH policies and laws.
• Produces audit reports and recommends corrective actions.
• Obtains corrective action plans and tracks implementation progress.
• Provides coding education and acts as a compliance resource.
