Job summary

We are seeking a Nurse Practitioner/Advance Practice Nurse on a 1099 basis to conduct intakes, monitor clinical progress, and manage medication dosing in a remote setting from Bedford, TX.

Qualifications

  • Active, unencumbered NP/APRN license in the applying state.
  • Active, individual DEA registration with address in applying state.
  • DEAX designation or proof of 8 hours SAMHSA-qualified training.
  • Minimum 1 year actively prescribing Buprenorphine.
  • Proof of active board certification.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in conducting intakes after extensive counselor evaluation.
  • Monitor patients' clinical progress at regular group counseling sessions; participate in medication management.
  • Authorize prescriptions during monthly visits with patient panels.
  • Complete notes and reporting in Groups EMR within required timelines; orientation provided.

Responsibilities

Nurse Practitioner/ Advance Practice Nurse (1099):

  • Assist in conducting intakes. Providers see patients after they have already undergone an extensive evaluation by the counselor.
  • Monitor patients' clinical progress at regular group counseling sessions. Groups are run by specialized counseling staff; providers participate by answering questions and managing patients’ medication dosing.
  • Authorize patients' prescriptions during monthly visits with patient panels.
  • Complete all notes and reporting in Groups EMR system within required timeline (providers receive full orientation/ training on Clinical Protocols before eligible to begin work with Groups)

*We utilize strict protocols to guide clinical decision-making. We have also developed a unique, technology-driven and team-based clinical system that handles all day-to-day patient management and regulatory compliance. This allows physicians to focus exclusively on medical management.

Qualifications

Nurse Practitioner/ Advance Practice Nurse (1099) Requirements:

  • Active, Unencumbered State License (NP/APRN) in the State in which you are applying.
  • Active, Individual DEA with address listed in the State in which you are applying (please note that if you intend on prescribing in multiple states, a separate DEA is required in each state in which you are planning on prescribing).
  • DEAX designation as formerly required to prescribe Buprenorphine *or* proof of 8hrs of qualified training as assigned by SAMHSA will be required.
  • 1 yr. Minimum Actively Prescribing Buprenorphine
  • Proof of Active Board Certification
  • Ability to work in-office at least 5hrs per week.
  • Eligibility for hours will commence approximately 3 months after initiation of the credentialing process.
