Job summary

Cherubini Metal Works in Dartmouth, NS is seeking an experienced Welder to join our production team. The role involves production welding, prototype building, and fabrication of metal structures using jigs and fixtures in a fast-paced setting.

You will read production drawings, select appropriate welding processes, and work under foremen to achieve quality parts and process improvements. Applicants should have 3-5 years of welding experience and current CWB tickets.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 3-5 years welding experience.
• Current CWB tickets (all positions).
• Valid welding certifications in GMAW, SMAW (all positions).
• FCAW certification considered an asset.
• GMAW certification considered an asset.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints or welding process specifications.
• Operate welding equipment to fuse metal using GTAW, GMAW, FCAW, PAW, SMAW, OAW, SAW as applicable.
• Operate flame-cutting equipment.
• Operate brazing and soldering equipment.
• Operate metal shaping machines such as brakes and shears.
• Repair parts by welding on extra layers.
• Maintain safe work practices and training of juniors.
