Job summary

Hydrogen Group is seeking an Engineering Technician in San Diego, CA for a 12-month contract. The role is onsite, 1st shift (6:00 AM–2:30 PM), with a pay rate of 24–29 USD per hour.

You will join the Consumables Prototyping Services team, conducting experiments, collecting data, and supporting process improvements. The ideal candidate has 1–2 years of lab experience, strong analytical and documentation skills, and the ability to work independently as well as in a team.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of related work experience in a laboratory, engineering, or technical environment.
• Hands-on laboratory experience with documentation and data collection.
• Ability to perform experiments and analyze data with some supervision.
• Strong mathematical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office and basic data recording.
• Clear written and verbal communication.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Attention to detail and punctuality.
• Able to manage multiple tasks and priorities.

Responsibilities

• Independently manage moderately complex tasks with minimal supervision.
• Perform experiments and collect, document, and analyze data.
• Learn and support multiple laboratory operations, processes, and technologies.
• Apply hands-on technical skills to experimental execution and data collection.
• Support troubleshooting and corrective action development.
• Plan and execute multiple concurrent activities as directed by the supervisor.
• Track laboratory supply inventory and assist with equipment maintenance.
• Communicate observations and project progress to supervisors and teams.
