Job summary

Ellaway Blues Consulting in Fort Worth, TX seeks a Prototyping Supervisor to lead and develop a team of technicians supporting a pilot-scale manufacturing operation. Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on manufacturing operations experience.
• Experience supervising technicians or operators.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving in manufacturing.
• Experience with scheduling and prioritizing work to meet deadlines.
• Excellent written and verbal communication across multiple teams.
• Experience with metals or ceramics manufacturing preferred.
• Lean Manufacturing/5S knowledge is a plus.
• Experience handling air-sensitive materials preferred.

We are partnering with a rapidly growing advanced manufacturing organization in Fort Worth, TX to identify a Prototyping Supervisor to join its technology and manufacturing operations.

This is a highly hands‑on leadership role responsible for supervising and developing a team of technicians supporting a pilot-scale manufacturing operation. The Supervisor will oversee day‑to‑day production activities, coordinate resources and technician workloads, and help transform raw materials into finished products while maintaining production schedules, quality standards, and a strong safety culture.

• Lead, schedule, train, and develop a team of manufacturing technicians/operators.
• Coordinate technician workloads and redeploy resources as necessary to meet production schedules.
• Monitor manufacturing processes, product yields, quality, and labor efficiency.
• Remain hands‑on with the operation and maintenance of pilot‑scale manufacturing/prototyping equipment.
• Develop and maintain production procedures, work instructions, and standardized processes.
• Partner closely with Engineering, Maintenance, Quality, and EHS teams to troubleshoot process deviations and implement corrective actions.
• Drive a clean, organized, safe, and high‑performing manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in manufacturing operations or a similar hands‑on production environment.
• Previous experience supervising, managing, and training technicians or operators.
• Strong hands‑on troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills within a manufacturing environment.
• Experience scheduling, prioritizing, and delegating work to meet production deadlines.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate across Engineering, Maintenance, Quality, and EHS teams.
• Experience with metals or ceramics manufacturing, including casting, powder processing, heat treatment, machining, or surface finishing, is highly preferred.
• Experience with Lean Manufacturing, 5S, continuous improvement, or similar methodologies is a plus.
• Experience handling air‑sensitive materials is preferred.
