Job summary

CompoSecure is seeking a Manufacturing Lead to execute operations on prototypes and maintain scheduling, safety, and quality across production lines in New Jersey. The role involves coordinating with the Prototype & Sample Supervisor, ensuring PPE usage, and meeting delivery targets while upholding company policies.

The ideal candidate has at least 3 years in manufacturing, strong communication skills, and a detail-oriented, proactive mindset.

Responsibilities

• Ensure all employees use proper PPE and follow safety guidelines.
• Manage assignments to meet delivery expectations and schedule.
• Analyze data to verify product conformance to requirements.
• Input data for engineering and production review and maintain scheduling databases.
• Highlight production constraints and coordinate with teams to meet deadlines.
• Supervise training to ensure safe, productive performance and compliance.
• Support department with feedback for performance evaluations.
• Operate equipment as required.
• Provide feedback to Department Manager on issues and injuries.
• Engage in company-wide safety and environmental programs.

Position Summary

This position is responsible for executing operations on any and all prototypes, as directed by the Prototype & Sample Supervisor. In this position will be responsible for maintaining schedule and utilizing available resources in a manner that ensures safety, quality, efficiency, and adherence to all company policies.

Essential Responsibilities

• Ensure all employees are using the proper Personal Protection Equipment defined for use in their jobs
• Ensure employees are practicing safe working habits and report any and all accidents immediately
• Detail work assignments to employees within the department to meet delivery expectations
• Analyze data to determine if the product is within specific requirements, i.e. antenna, card straightening
• Input data for engineering and production review
• Maintain inventory, priority, and scheduling database
• Immediately highlight constraints to the department’s ability to meet scheduled production, i.e. availability of materials and work instructions
• Perform spot checks on items such as first articles and visual rejects
• Ensure employees are trained to perform their duties in a safe, productive and accurate manner
• Help other Manufacturing Leads as needed
• Ensure department adherence to the Company’s attendance, break, safety and other policies
• Provide feedback on department employees for use in employee performance evaluations
• Operate equipment, as required

Other Important Responsibilities

• Provide immediate feedback to Department Manager on all issues, constraints and injuries
• Timely Corrective Action response and resolution to relevant situations
• Engage and support companywide Safety and Cleanliness programs
• As part of the EMS-Environmental Management System, will meet compliance obligations by contributing but not limited to the company’s recycling guidelines, proper waste and other environmental performance practices
• Will be required to perform other job functions, as assigned

Required Skills And Competencies

• Minimum 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment
• High School Diploma or GED required
• Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
• Strong attention to detail and ability to self-check own work
• Excellent time management skills
• Task oriented excellent organizational skills, ability to prioritize work load

• High level of computer literacy including working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel, Project, and Outlook.

Physical Qualifications And Work Environment

• Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
• Must be able to sustain office work for 8+ hours per day including the following:
  • Sitting in an office chair
  • Typing
  • Reaching for the telephone
  • Standing at office equipment
  • Hearing for phone use
  • Sight for computer use
• Must be able to sustain factory work as needed including the following:
  • Standing at machinery
  • Reaching and pulling to operate machinery
  • Sight for machinery operation
  • Walking through shop
• Office environment is of moderate noise level.
• Shop noise levels are such that protective ear-coverings are recommended.

Pay Range

$53,800.00 - $80,800.00 Annual

Incentive Compensation

Offers will be negotiated based on each candidate's qualifications. This role may be eligible to participate in our annual or quarterly incentive plan. Incentives are earned based on employee performance against defined metrics and company goals.
