Job summary

BorgWarner is establishing a new state-of-the-art facility in Hendersonville, NC for data center power generation systems. This Prototype/Production ME Technician role supports the Industrial Solutions Manufacturing team, starting in the Technical Center and transitioning to the Hendersonville site.

You will assemble prototype and pilot systems, learn advanced assemblies, and work closely with engineers to ensure robust, scalable solutions.

Qualifications

  • 7+ years of hands-on experience in mechanical, electrical, or plumbing systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, wiring diagrams, and schematics.
  • Proficiency with hand and power tools.
  • Knowledge of fluid systems, low-voltage electrical systems, and mechanical fabrication.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble prototype and pilot systems per engineering drawings and schematics.
  • Interpret Work Orders and follow special instructions.
  • Collaborate with engineers to identify issues and implement design changes.
  • Build subassemblies and full systems using hand/power tools and precision instruments.
  • Conduct functional tests and document performance.
