IPG Photonics is seeking an Associate Engineer in Marlborough, MA to contribute to the development of a precision mechano-robotic system. You will participate from concept generation through design, assembly, controls integration, and testing, gaining hands-on experience alongside experienced engineers.

Responsibilities include CAD model creation, prototype integration of mechanical, electrical, and control elements, and software development for system control and operator interaction.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, mechatronics, or electrical engineering.
• Experience with CAD for mechanical design.
• Hands-on experience prototyping electromechanical systems.
• Programming experience in C/C++ or Python.
• Interest in controls, automation, HMI, or PLC-based systems.

Responsabilidades

• Design and develop CAD models for a precision mechano-robotic system.
• Build and integrate mechanical, electrical, and control elements into a working prototype.
• Perform component selection and ordering, fabrication coordination, assembly, and installation.
• Develop and refine software for system control and operator interaction.
• Support PLC and HMI implementation where applicable.
• Perform testing, troubleshooting, and optimization of system functionality.
• Document design updates, test results, and implementation progress.
• Present final project results to the team.
