Job summary

Nightwing is seeking a Multi-disciplinary Engineer II in Springfield, VA to support technology development and mission programs. You will own and contribute to the full design lifecycle—from concept through prototyping, testing, deployment, and mission execution.

The role requires collaboration across mechanical, electrical, computer, and software disciplines, with opportunities to lead design reviews, author procedures, and mentor teams.

Qualifications

• Must have or be eligible for TS/SCI clearance; sponsorship provided.
• MS/BS in Mechanical, Electrical, Computer Engineering or CS.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant engineering experience.
• Hands-on experience with electro-mechanical systems and prototyping.
• CAD software experience for design and documentation (Solidworks, Revit).
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop customer requirements and test plans.
• Create designs, drawings, schematics, and flowcharts.
• Lead design reviews and document procedures.
• Prototype, validate, and integrate feedback across disciplines.
• Collaborate with vendors and cross-functional teams.
